The Chorus, dressed like anyone and everyone, but with hollow, sunken faces, stands ranged around stage.
The Chorus: Armageddon happens slowly, like an exhalation.
Each performer exhales for as long as they can, until the stage becomes a silent scream of unbreathing people. Just before they reach the point of inhalation, the lights drop, and we hear their painful sucking in of breath.
